 Help with Iggy
My ig is a year and 3 months he is freerome now and sleeps on my dresser and when I try to get him off he whips and bites me why????

I guess I dont really have an answer, but my Iguana is also that age and is also starting to tale whip me. He always has, but now its starting to hurt. He bit me for the first time yesterday and drew blood. He hates to be handled.

Mine is about 14 months or so and she tail whips, but she has never bitten anyone (that I know of) She will open her mouth, but that’s it.

Your ig isnt tamed yet. You need to keep handling her, even if she tail whips and bites. If you back of when she does that, she learns that aggression will let her get away with whatever she wants, and eventually you’ll have a 6-foot monster on your hands. Just speak to her quietly and pick her up (try not to "swoop" down on her with your hand- she’ll think you’re some bird trying to eat her) and hold her for short periods of time several times a day.
