Question about shedding 
Our jade is shedding right now, but it’s not a normal shed!! The skin that is coming off is very thick, way thicker then before when we first got her!! She was never properly cared for in the past, and has probably never correctly shed before. Has anyone ever seen this? Does it sound normal or should I be worried?

As long as there are no other weird signs mites scabs sores or discoloration I wouldn’t worry. She might be shedding a couple of layers she missed before. When I first rescued my girls they did that. It wasn’t directly after ether it was after a while of proper care (which your girl is finally getting) Then they can finally do a healthy shed AHHHH  If there are other problems see a vet. Hope this helps

Thank You, I feel better now! It makes sense. We have had her for about a month and a half now, she shed once before, but it was just a little on her head. I hope that’s all that’s happening!!
