Omg she bit me!! yes, Iggy bit me yesterday. She was very itchy around her head and kept trying to get a good scratch on a branch. she was visibly frustrated by this and i kept hearing her puff.(shedding time) i had just been petting her before and she was fine. well for her at least! after i walked away and saw her scratching, i figured i’d help her out and scratch around her head where she couldn’t reach. i walked up to her and w/out ANY warning she snapped at my finger before i even touched her! It hurt like hell and was bleeding profusely so i ran it under water, managed to get the bleeding under control and disinfected/bandaged it up. then i went back to the cage, got way up higher than her and scolded her in a deep firm voice. i also placed my hand on her head as i did this so she wasn’t thinking that she "won" when she bit me.
now, i know this happens to people all of the time, and that igs are wild at heart despite our many efforts to tame them. but lately she’s been a lot fiestier than her old self. no, she never likes to be picked up or petted, but i have been trying to have more contact w/ her lately since i’ve been having problems taking her out of her cage at times. it just seems like the opposite is happening- she ’s getting more aggressive instead! she has been very evil lately and looking at me w/ a death stare. i mean, she literally stares at me like she has evil intentions! sometimes it’s really freaky...she usually doesn’t look at me at all if i’m not near her. i had to postpone her vet appt. to next week. when i go i will adress this.. i am hoping that her aggression isn’t health related.

Omg she bit me!! My girl Jade is shedding right now, and she too is being very aggressive!! She has never bit me or anyone else (that I know of) but the other day while I was holding her outside she opened up her mouth at me because I was petting her, without thinking, I stuck my finger right in her face and said firmly "go ahead"! All she did was lick me, I think she was shocked that I didn’t jump away from her evil little attack. After that she was nice. They are strange creatures!! :) LOL

Omg she bit me!! Sorry to hear that Iggy bit you. I think you did the right thing by going in there and putting your hand on her head again. Hopefully it is just a passing phase. Slee did get real fiesty for a time when he was younger. He still snorts, hisses, and headbobs a lot...and gives lots of stink eye but that’s about it. He will slap me with his hand of foot sometimes if I am touching an itchy part and he is in a bad mood. Just keep trying to establish a good relationship. Offer treats from time to time.
