Taming
I was wondering how long does it usually take for your iguana to become comortable with you?. I have had mine for about a month and its getting better but still afraid when i hold it at first.

Taming It can take years for an iguana to tame... mine is still really frantic, I’ve had him about 4-6 months... he’s almost two feet!!!

Taming They are all different. My first one was tame almost immediately but he was injured and had more exposure to humans. Sleestack took close to a year!

Taming Nope, he doesn’t bite, but he does try to run away from me. Last night I was teasing him and I was blowing on him and whap! Tail slap to the face, lol. Yeah, just give it time. It’s a delicate process.

Taming Well if when ever you pick him up and he wiggles around then you can put him down, what you have to do is keep holding him until it gets calm.

Taming I don’t know much about them as I am still in need of much help, but one thing I was told that also keeps them calm when you handle them is when you pick them up, try to bring your hand underneath it and then pick it up. When you try to pick it up from above its nature instict is too asume that you are a predator.
