New Enclosure I’m not completely sure, but one heat light on the top, we need to cut that piece out still, one probably around the bottom area and the uvb inside on the back wall or something like that. Any ideas?

New Enclosure you could take that top piece off and put a screen top there instead, same material as you used to build your cage. the uvb bulb should be on top to really benefit your ig. i would also place the heat elements on top as well, since igs require a heat source from above and not below. be careful that wherever you decide to place the heat bulbs, that there isn’t anything flammable or melt-able near them.

New Enclosure I thought that the uvb needed to be kinda close to her, If the top will benefit her better, then I would rather put it there. Also we will have a heat source coming from the top, we were just worried about maintaining the temps all over the enclosure, do you think that one on top would do the job? We will have to do some experimenting!! lol
I hope she likes it!!

New Enclosure That enclosure looks good. For the basking area and UVB requirements I’d make the top out of the screening as was mentioned before but use a MVB bulb for UVB and heat. MVB bulbs give off alot more UVB radiation and don’t need to be replaced nearly as often as florescents. I switched my Ig to MVB bulbs and both of them have gone through a crazy growth spurth, their coloring is alot brighter and they seem much more active than before. The bulbs are more expensive than florescents initially but the fact that they last much longer almost balances out the cost. The positive results you’ll see in your Igs more than makes them worth it.

New Enclosure Hey, good home, but one question, the screen, its a little wide, possibly your ig will try to sneak through and get stuck, or s/he will hurt itself on. Nice design, but please be careful. I dont want your iggy to get injured.

New Enclosure She can’t fit through the screen, we were worried about that too!! So when we got home, after buying everything, we let her climb all over it!! Too make sure it was OK, she can stick her nose out of the holes, but that’s about it. Thanks for your concern! :)

New Enclosure We have the enclosure all finished, and we were wondering what type of lights are the best for bigger enclosures. Are the lights that put off both uva and uvb strip lights or the bulb type? What would be best? I’m going to get them today. Any help appreciated!! Thanks
