 A story.

Hi everyone, one of my friends is giving me a five foot female Green Iguana and a cage that is 6.5ft. wide,7ft. tall, and 3.5ft. deep, all for free!!
But he is really sad right now because he has had some REALLY sad things happen in his life and his ig escaped for 3 weeks and the guy didn’t find it (he has a BIG house)and he has a TON of plants and when he would wake up to water the plants, there would be bite marks on the plants he said when he found it that it was sick, could the reason be lack of UVB(can an ig get MBD from 21 days with out any UVB?) or maybe the ig ate toxic plants, the reason that the guy is giving it away was that the females ig was living with a male ig mate and the male ig died because of old age and so the owner opened the cage (awakening the female ig) and took out the dead male so then the female saw the owner with her dead mate and so the female ig figured that her owner killed her mate so the female ig has been tail whipping at the owner and has been really mean to the owner.

-Please respond!-

I am happy that you are getting a new iguana but sad of the reason this person has to find her a new home . Some people say that animals don’t get attached to others ! I don’t believe this at all . They have feelings too and I firmly believe they feel lose of there mates just as we would .

When are you getting her ? Please keep us posted and post a pic when she gets there !

 A story.

she could be very depressed, or it is possible she is ill from the plants. make sure she is taken to the vet prior to bringing her home. 21 days w/out UVB seems like enough to change her behavior. good luck!

 A story.

Thanks for all the answers,I might get her tonight!!!
So she can’t get MBD from being 21 days with out UVB?
I think that they can get attached to others to.
I’ll try to post a pic although I haven’t had much luck in the past.
The reason that I may not get her tonight is because the cage weighs close to 250 pounds,(with all the lights, branches, substrate, decorations, etc.)the guy said that he bought the cage for nearly $2,000 it,s like an iguanarium with the plastic wrapped around the metal.
