 More bathing quetions.

I bath my iguana daily from 20-45 minutes, is that too long or jus about right? and is there anything you can get to put in the water that may be good for the iguana, like its skin, health in general?

Go by what your iguana seems to like. sometimes mine like a long soak and other times they are wanting to get out and run. when I give them a longer soak I change the water in the tub a few times. I warm it and make sure it’s free of waste so they are not drinking or sitting in it. The only time I use something other than water is when they have gotten waste on them. I take a gentle and I do stress gentle antibacterial soap then I dilute it a bunch (mostly water)and clean off the poop with a soft tooth brush. You Have to rise them very well. I find this helps get it off. Don’t do it to much it can dry their skin. and don’t let them sit in it or drink it. Also don’t wash their faces you don’t want it getting in their eyes nose mouth .

Sometimes. That’s why I don’t have the water level to high.

All of my iguanas do the same thing too. They’ll kind of lie down in the water and just rest. Green Iguanas can stay under water for up to 30 minutes so you don’t have to worry about it too much.
