Lizard went to the vet 
Not a lot of news here, but Mr. Lizzie had his annual trip to the vet. I just moved, so it was his first time at the new vet. Nice vet, knowledgeable about iguanas, about a twenty minute drive from home. Lizard wasn’t exactly on his best behavior, but he did pretty well...  No tail whipping or gaping, just a bit of scrabbling around when the vet wanted to look in his mouth and stuff like that. The vet said he looks very healthy, his jaw bones feel nice and hard, and everything looks good. They did the fecal exam while the vet examined him, and he’s all good there too. No parasites worth treating. AND the vet said if I’m looking for work experience, he could set something up for me there! (I’m hoping to go to vet school, for those of you who don’t know. I’m taking pre-requisites now that I didn’t do as an undergrad, and work experience is *very* important in getting in to vet school.) Yay!  Kate |

| Oooh, congratulations all round! What an excellent thing to find a vet who invites people to come and work with him as a learning experience. I hope that you find it fun and rewarding and a good stepping stone on your career path. I’m also glad to hear Mr. Lizzard is so healthy and well-behaved. |

Thanks for all the well-wishes guys. :-) Xta, have a lot of people recently had bad news? If so, I seem to have missed it. Lucky me. Unless you mean all the new people on kingsnake coming on to say, "Hi! I hav to new babie iggys, how do i take car of them??" That’s bad news alright.  |
