My Cyclura Just started doing this twitching thing with her head. its almost like a tick. i noticed it about 2 weeks ago but i thought it had gone away because i only saw her do it a few times then it was gone. By the way when it happens her pupels seem to diolate then retract untill the tremer sotps.

Cyclura head bobs are very distinct and very different from the Green Iguana’s. It’s more of a wagging back and forth, like rotating their head on their neck (picture turning a doorknob back and forth), and not so much up and down. They may also put some circular motion to it. And, they are short bobs. Geesh, this is so hard to describe in words!! LOL If the mouth is partially open, even a little bit, when she does this, I would definately say it’s a head bob. Also, from the information in your other post, there is a dominance issue going on between the two of you and that makes me think that there may be some headbobbing going on here. MBD does not usually show up initially as twitching of the head...you will see toes twitching and usually some slight disfigurement of the jaw.

Thanks, thats all shes doin’. It scared me because Im so used to the way my beardies bob their heads that it never occured to me that other reps may have their own ways of doing things. It just looks so strange at first. Ill get used to it in time. thanks Again
