Sleeping!
I just got a fat, 2 year old female iguana 2 days ago and it sleeps A LOT. About how many hours are they active for? Im not so sure if this is normal. He allways stays on the bottom of the cage and never climbs. He never basks or gets any light. Hes allways burried in vines at the bottom of the cage. I dont no I might just be worrying too much..

What do you know about her history? Was she well cared for or untamed etc.? She is probably scared and hiding...needs to adjust. This is not normal behavior (if it weren’t for the adjusting part). They should bask and climb up high, eat a lot, not sleep too much, and be alert. Have you taken a fresh stool sample to the vet to check for parasites? This should be done with every new lizard as they get them often. What is your diet, your lights setup/temps, etc? Hopefully she will calm down and feel comfortable after awhile, but she does need to eat and stay warm enough to digest her food. And she needs the UV rays.

Well its very poosible that she was uncared for. I got her from a guy that I didnt know that much. I was talking to him for a little bit and he didnt no too much about them. He said they got 16 ft and only get big if you have them in a big cage. She seems to be very tame but layed back and allways sleeps. Ill put her on a brach and she cant really stay on she slides off. That may be because of her weight though. The temp at the bottom is like 75 at the top it ranges up to like 100.

Yeah...she sounds bad alright...from bad care. I would get her to a reptile vet immediately. Take a fresh stool sample in too. She may need some calcium injections if she has MBD and treatment if she has any worms/parasites. Try to keep her warm and get a UV light on her (spinkle calcium on her food everyday). The UV and calcium are essential right now. Feed her good greens like collard, mustard, dandelion, turnip, endive, escarole, watercress. You can shred squash, snow peas, green beans on top with a little fruit for a treat like mango, berries, papaya, melon. Keep us posted.
