 A herper’s hangover

We’ve been having a stretch of cold weather and last night even my cozy little apartment felt kinda cold and drafty. So I fired up the heating pad and infrared bulbs in the iguanas’ cages and took the big ig Gizmo into the bedroom with me to share my body heat until her cage warmed up.

We snuggled under the covers watching old Nick at Nite sitcoms while I waited for her cage to warm up some. Must have partied too hearty cuz we both passed out. When the alarm went off this morning I was still lying on my left side with Gizmo’s head on my shoulder and her body stretched all down my right side.

What a wild Saturday night for this old herper! Maybe I needs to get a life?

I know its been freezing here too. Some nights I can’t even open the car door, and when I pry it open...I can’t close it. Fortunately I have several reptile heaters that the room stays fairly warm anyway.

 Re: A herper’s hangover

heh I did that with Salvador, my last iguana, but he was probably 4-5 feet at the time. I put a pillow between us since he was kind of prickely...I didn’t get any sleep that night because he kept finding me and stealing my pillow to lay next to my face! I would put him back over, then he would crawl back again...on and on! Silly Dragon!

What a sweet lizards both of you have!!!

I tried to do this once with Godzilla but as i moved too much in the bed and he could not sleep he decided it would be better for him to hide under the bed.But i did that only one night because hubby was in Maldives. What you did with YOUR hubby when Salvador was sleeping in your bed??

For eyespy. You have a life, a very interesting and full one!People out there are very superficial and stupid. You are not losing anything, i can swear!!
