 Bearded dargons and mealworms?

can i feed mealworms to my young juvenile beardys as part of there main diet of bugs?

Standard answer, no. Too much chitin that can block up the digestive track.

that is true but you could crush the head because thats 90% of the chance of blocking the digestive track.

That is not true. Mealworms have an exoskeleton that is difficult for some reptiles to digest and may cause impaction. It is their whole body, not just their head. Btw, it will have just as much chitin weather or not you crush the head.
