 New. Help.

get about 100 mealworms and put them in one container. for bedding use oats and stuff for them to feed on. For moisture and water, give them potatoes and apples.Wait till they are pupa’s, for pupa’s, put them in a different container because mealies can eat them. pupas then turn reddish one day before they are gonna hatch. Mainly you just wait about 2-2 and a 1/2 weeks. then you’ll have beetles, this is when you put them in a different container. beetles will be white at first, then reddish until it turns dark. feed them apples and potatoes. place moist dirt inside for them to lay they’re eggs in. Once you start seeing baby mealworms move the beetles again to a different container, because they’ll eat the worms.

-If the mealworms stop moving DONT THROW THEM OUT, they are just getting ready to become pupas.
-Throw out any mealworms that turn black, because they are dead.
-If a pupa is dark DONT THROW THEM OUT, they can still hatch, if one week pass after they are black then yes, they are dead.
-keep the dirt moist.
-keep each of the stages SEPARATED.
that is all i know so far, i yet to find out which are females and which are males

i say no to strawberries , but i dont think they have a string bite for oranges, try it anyways(superworms can be fed oranges). You can also feed mealworms carrots.
