Raising Mealies
Am wondering if other mealie breeders (or anyone with their own colony) have ever tried squash or melons for their moisture? I sell mealies (organicmealies.com) and am seeking alternative moisture sources than potatoes and carrots. (I will not use those water crystal things as they’re not safe for human consumption.. so it can’t be safe for my pets!) Deb |

I personally have used yellow squash, sweet potato, zucchini, fresh green beans, fresh peas and cherries. They seem to like each of the item listed. I have been giving them this variety for over two months now with basically no casualties. Holly |
