 Dudes.dudets i found a stick bug in pool help!

well today i was outside and just sorta looked into our pool and say a stick bug floating, i thought it was dead but i caught it to show the kids. but i soon notice that it was alife, sorry but i have no picks now, i live around easteren canada(prince edward island) and i need to no how to care for this little bugger

Hello,

Could you try and get some pictures taken? I know you said you have none, but mistaken identity is very common.
Also there’s loads of things that this stick insect could be. If you can’t get any pictures yourself. Could you try googling "insects in easteren canada" and see if you can find a picture or discription of this insect.

As I said, mistaken identity is common, are you sure it’s not a praying mantis, or something like that? Because stick insects and mantids get mixed up allot.
