Anyone know???? So I was out with my dog, and flying around my dad’s garden was this weird bug. I went in the house, got a container and caught it to see it up close. Basically it reminds me of a bee, except it’s thinner and orange with black stripes...really orange, not yellow at all. It’s wings are black and go straight back when it’s at rest, they don’t overlap at all. The hind legs are long and really fuzzy, kind of looks like black velvet. I did take pictures but they suck and I can’t upload them, but the description is pretty dead on I think. I googled stuff looking for anything close, but couldn’t find anything. I live on Long Island in NY if that helps at all.
Sorry for the long post, but this thing really is pretty cool, he’s still buzzing around the garden too.

Anyone know???? Really, with insects, you have to have a picture. There are so many look alikes out there that its nearly impossible to give you an accurate ID without one.

Anyone know???? kinda figured...the pictures came out so blurry honestly they wouldn’t even help, all you see in them is a dark shape, you can’t even tell it’s an insect, and I couldn’t find it today to try again...
Gah!
*sigh* oh well, thanks anyway
