Pet roaches? since hissing roaches are illegal as pets in florida what other type of roach is a good pet? I looked at lobster roaches and like them, but my mom hates bugs. i was wondering if anyone knows of a cute cockroach (not the ones with the gross looking wings like a deaths head) any suggestions?

Pet roaches?
It’s too bad hissing roaches are illegal where you are...why? My friend’s older brother is a freaky mad-science brainiac (lol) and he had 2 roaches as a part of his "collection" of mantisis and other things, and I loved those guys! They died about 6 months ago, but he had them for a long time and they loved being handled, and we played with them all the time!!
Well good luck,
-Peaches and Jeni

Pet roaches? they’re illegal because irresponsible owners let their pets go and hissers can thrive in the heat and humidity down here. When i found out i was crushed. An entomologist at the florida universaty of entomology and nematogloly said i think death’s head roaches or discoid roaches (something like that) were legal because they can be found naturally in miami or something like that. i went to websites that sell roaches just to seee what they have and i’ve found some cool ones.
