 I have no idea...

Does anyone know what this is? I found it hauling butt across my front yard.

It is a "cow killer" It is actually a kind of wasp, not an ant like it looks, males have wings, females don’t... It can’t really kill a cow, it just got that name due to the painfulness of it’s sting:)
I have some of them in my insect collection, I collected them in Tennessee, I think they are so pretty, but they really creeped me out when I found them!
