My new snake You should be trying to set a steady diet for your king. It probably would not bother her/him to eat again the next day but i would wait a few more days and then feed her two pinkys and try to keep a steady pattern going for it. And about when you should start feeding live well do you think you wana go that way dont get me wrong nature is an awsome thing to watch but is it worth the risk to your snake. Mice have been known to blind snakes and there are even cases of snakes dieing from infections due to bites from mice. The safest and most reliable is F/T mice and if your used to your snake it can be entertaining to feed them dead mine will srtike right out of the cage and take it from my hand she hasnt missed yet. But if you feed them live wack the little buggers (the mouse) head on the glass just incase.

My new snake when i have to resort to feeding live.....and it is a last resort because i cant get frozen mice where i am so i have to order them and it takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months..bummer eh?..i hold the mouses tail with tongs and let me snake grab him that way....and i only chance that with my big guy..cuz he is a snatchy one
