purchased both mine from a now non-existant local pet shop. it’s really too bad because he always had snakes that the big chain pet stores never have. you walk into other pet shops and its the usual fair: cali king, ball python, corn snake. this guy would have blood pythons, kings of every kind, rat snakes of every kind, just a lot more variety. now i guess i’ll have to wait for reptile expos to really see some different types.

I get my snakes ONLY from Reptile show cause i have bad experiences with pet shop like mites but some can be ok an d there overe priced.

Petco! I kept seeing it whenever I would go there to buy frozen mice for my other snakes. It was there for months and I couldn’t understand why no one would purchase it. Finally, one day I offered to take it off their hands for a discount and they agreed. I’m so glad I did. :)

we got our desert and cali from northwest seed and pet and we got our 4 brooksi on KS from two different people.I think i had good luck with both.I am not in an area where their is reptile shows but we am hoping to go to one in Eugene or hollsboro next,those are the closest i think to us.

I got my king from a closed down pet shop now, but my other 2 snakes ive gotten from snake shows and thats where I would suggest to get your from if you can find one, and thats where I get my snakes now.

My first snake was a red albino corn snake named Y for the Y on its head. We never had it sexed so I refer to Y as an it as I don’t know what sex it was. I got Y from a local fish store. Ya guys I know! Idiotic mistake. I ended up realizing not to ever buy from anywhere other than the local reptile store downtown. Y died a month after I got it.
Then my precious baby Gizmo. My pride and joy. I got her from The Reptile Store. The owner is awesome. Gizmo was sexed and is a she. I have had her for 4 years.

Black King we got a a reptile show. Impulse buy which meant we had to stop on the way home for snakey supplies...uh like a TANK!!! Later we got Black Thunder at a pet store. As someone said about being pricey he WAS overpriced at 120, considering he was 2 years old and untamed, musking and biting and whipping himself around. The pet store had to keep movin ghim into the back rooms cause people were getting scared of a big black snake. I got him for $80 cause he had stopped eating for 3 weeks and could not be handled anymore. So yeah-reptile shows are probably your best bet for price, variety, adn temperment as babies.
Not that I would ever have left him there or give up on him. Black Thunder has really come around the last 2 years!!

Mr. Bumbles came by a Craigs List posting. He was only $35.00. Come to find out the guy did work at a small pet shop that sells snakes. He kept Mr. Bumbles in really good shape. :)
