Thanks, he doesn’t have the same green tint that the one you have does, but it is there, and actually the first I’ve seen in person at any show I’ve been to. So, he is a step in the right direction. ;) The problem is, this puts me at 3.1 for Floridas now. So, till I get some more girls, I guess Sky’s gonna be busy!!! LOL |

There is no doubt that Easterns are incredible snakes. They are by far my favorite colubrid. I only have 6 kings now and 3 of them are easterns. You can’t beat their feeding response, size, and individual personalities. I’ve got two that are sweet as can be. They can be handled, hand fed, and are just very laid back. Then I have one girl that, everytime I pick her up, I have to go shower to get all of the musk off of me. Floridana / brooksi come in a close second, and the eastern/brooksi combo is just as great, but pure easterns are just amazing animals. |

you only like cali best because you never experienced the thrill of keeping easterns. cali are more popular because bazillions were produced in the 70’s-80’s, my easterns never musk me but my californias do it all the time, californias are jittery and nutty. easterns rule, especially easterns bred for feeding response, try them sometime. |
