 Does it hurt
Ok guys you have to bear with me i have a stupid question! Does it hurt when the babies bite? I really never had a snake as a pet before, i remeber when i was like 8 my moms friend king bite me and i think it hurt but that was a ful grown snake and now i am not for sure if was all that painful or was my imagition scince i was a kid lol my hubby says it dont,i am new to the whole snake thing i do love the way they look and all i aint scared i just dont wont them to bite me

It doesn’t really hurt a lot when adults bite. It’s kind of a sting like a pinch, not nearly as bad as a bee sting. Snakes have sharp thin hollow fangs, they don’t really hurt so much, they just mess you up when they inject venom which not only might kill you but stings like all hell.
Kingsnakes don’t have any venom though. In short, in my experience, their bites don’t really hurt.

i got a few adult kingsnakes that hurt bad when they bite, to name a few - Muttly, Butch, Goldberg, Heebie, Black Jack, and some that don’t have names.

i have a cali king that has bitten me about 6 times. That was when he was under i think about 20" and it didnt really hurt,it just kinda felt like sand paper on my finger.I think it was more annoying cause the dam thing wouldnt let go,,lol.Now he is a little over 2 feet and he hasnt done it for awhile and i dont have any adults yet so I dont know about that. If Lroy says some of his hurt i would trust him on that though,he has enough of them,,lol.

ofcourse BIG kings don’t hurt near as bad as boas or pythons, but baby kings can barely draw blood.

This is good to know cause i wanted a boa i think they are a very pretty snake,but i love the look of the king snakes too cause there like a car,they come in many shapes,sizes and colors lol

Looks like he’s laughing to me??? LOL
The only bite I’ve ever gotten that really hurt, was when my first MBK Onyx bit me in the skin webbing part between my thumb and pointer finger. I think it hurt more because there wasn’t any bone to break up the pressure of the bite. Besides that, all I’ve gotten is mild pinches with a few pinpricks from the teeth.

my kings haven’t hurt me when they bit me, but my boa got a piece of bedding stuck in his mouth when he was feeding (and he is very calm), so I tried to use a 10" tweezer to help get it out. well, when i let him go, his mouth was still open, and he caught my thumb, I believe it was by accident, but he left a tooth behind in th wound. that hurt

My 8 foot boa got me about a month or two ago. It was my fault. I was trying to get him back in his tank and I stuck my arm in front of him to block his exit. He hit hard to the underside of my forearm. It shocked me more than hurt. He left lots of tiny teeth marks, but worse than that was the 4 inch or so bruise he left. I looked like I’d been hit with a bat. They really hit hard.
This is us about a year and a half ago, right after we found him.
