You can go here and get some tips Link And here are some great threads here Link I put in hides and a wheel. And I breed ASF’s. I have two king snakes who didn’t want to eat ASF’s so I tried a trick. I got a live male mouse, and rubbed the ASF youngster on him... namely his rear area. kinda hard to hold the mouse and use tongs on the ASF. AnD BAM... Munch!! I fed that week, kept the mouse, in case of, and I have not needed him since. They are hooked and love them! I can feed pinky ASF’s to my month old milk, and mini king snake. They are about the same size as a larger mouse pinky. At 4 weeks of age they can be weaned are are the size of a small mouse, give them a few weeks and they are the size of an adult mouse. Most are NOT friendly, on the BP forum they are known as Furry Pirahna, they will try AND will attack the tongs, and bite fingers. Hope this helps.. Oh they will pop out about 9-14 or more offspring EVERY 4 weeks, and are kept in a 1 male to 2-3 female group. You cannot remove the male, or they won’t take him back. They tend to "peter" out at about 9 months old. Carol |
