 One more quick Question???

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and advise lately. But I still have one more question about breeding mice. I picked up a 1:1 pair of mice today after work, went to different pet stores and found only one female, and both shop’s never even heard of ASF’s, so I have to go back next week for another female or two. So my question is if I keep a 1:2 or 1:3 pair in one tub what do I do when the babies are weaned off their mother, do I leave them in that group or do I put them in separate tubs and groups, or separate tubs for male and female. I know that with ASF’s they all become part of the colony, but what is the deal with mice???

I’d separate the weanlings into male and female groups. They can breed at very tender ages, but for the health of the females you want them to be adult size to have a good pregnancy. Also the males will fight in the presence of females. You should never have more than one male adult with the females.
