2 Q’s
http://patrickgarethtipps.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/eggs.jpg be toxic to a snake? the words on mine say "molded paper pulp" so i guess it would be okay? My second Q is if anyone knows what the best humidity would be for a L. pyromelana pyromelana or Arizona mountain king? Thanks! |

To answer your second question first, I have five baby pyros. I keep them on dry aspen but provide a container full of moist sphagnum moss so they can regulate how much moisture they want themselves. Also they have a big water bowl. I live in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, which is a dry climate. Where they come from in the mountains of Arizona it is on the dry side, but the snakes will seek out humid nooks and crannies in the rock outcroppings they live in. The egg crates made out of recycled paper should be okay. I raise crickets on these sort of things and crickets are extremely sensitive to any toxins, almost like the canary in the coal mine sort of thing. http://www.eggcartons.com/category-exec/category_id/76/nm/Recycled_Pulp_Paper_Egg_Trays |
