Aspen I have aspen in my tank and I have a waterfall that my snake loves but everytime he goes into it he gets water all over the place so I have to keep on replacing the substrate. Is wet aspen harmful or can I keep on mixing it with dry aspen so I don’t have to keep replacing the whole tank? Or is there some kind of trick I can use so he doesn’t get it all over the place?

Aspen I put my snakes’ waterbowls in aluminum cake pans with a bed of sphagnum moss, because when the snakes decide to play in their bowls water does go everywhere. The cake pan with the moss keeps the water from getting in the aspen. So if you could put the waterfall in something like that, your aspen should stay dry.
