 Mex king

hey i have a problem.... one of my snakes (mexican black kingsnake) is throwing up like 3 days after every meal now.... she is about 5 years old and i am wondering if her stomach acids are to weak to digest fur now :( but i dont understand why she keeps throwing up! i dont even look at her after she eats so i know i aint disturbing her.. the temp is 80 degrees she has a cool side of 75.. should i skin the rats until her stomach acids get strong enough to digest fur again? or you think its bone that she cant digest

You could try giving her a hot spot of at least 85-90 degrees so she can digest her food faster. A good way to do this is to put a hide over the UTH so she will be encouraged to use the spot. Put a probe to an indoor-outdoor thermometer right over the UTH hot spot so you can measure exactly how hot it is.

Also maybe go back to feeding her large pinks. Wait at least a week, then try one pink, and if she keeps that down, increase the number of pinks at each meal until she is able to keep down her regular ration.

Give her a soak in Pedialyte just deep enough to cover her vent; this will replace electrolytes lost in regurge and help rehydrate her.

Put acidophilus in her water. This will give her beneficial bacteria to help her guts digest better.
