Heavy Breathing Hello all, you people are always a ton of help for me so I come back again. I have noticed lately that I can hear my snake breathing which I never could before and when I get him out for exercise by the end it sounds like it’s almost a whistling. Can a snake be out of shape or should I start worrying about his breathing, when I first pick him up out of his tank, I don’t hear his breathing at all. Any information would be great, unfortunately I can’t afford to take him to a vet, any help would be great.

Heavy Breathing Sounds like a respiratory infection. I had a Ball Python once that I had gotten from a niece when she moved out on her own. All I did for him was raise his temps and humidity levels and he recovered on his own within a week or so. ;)

Heavy Breathing Hmmm, I was thinking the temps and humidity was great, I have to fill his waterfall once a day or it’s empty. Maybe I will try a heat lamp.
