 I need Help to get one
i want to get a king snake becouse thet are kool looking but i’m wondoing how big they get and what is the size tank i need for one snake i have a 20 gallen and a 30 gallen i also have 3 iguana is it ok to house them in the SAME ROOM and what do they eat please help convincing my mom to let me get one than you very munch

Well if the only reason you want one is because you think they look kool. I would say you prombly don’t need one. But if you do get one. A 20 Gallon is a good size. Yes you can keep them in the same room but not the same cage. They will eat mice. Live or frozen.

weel, u need to start reaserching now on them because, they r not toys. 1: they get about 4-5 feet. 2: the 20 gallon tank will do. 3: yeah it’s ok to keep them in the same room but, not the same tank! lol! 4: pinkies, then fuzzies, then live mice.

Just to say, when i bought my first kingsnake i had to prove to my parents that i wanted him, at the time i was only 15 years old. I did research for over a year......waisting much paper in the progress, but every night i went on the computer to do so. then i set everything up for him about two months before i new i was even going to get him forsure.....but once we arrived at the petstore and my mom saw him i was allowed, after talking to the petstore person for over an hour! Its not so much as convinceing its showing that you are responsible enough.

Take lindzes addvice you have to show your able its only fair to you to your parents and to the snake. Get some books ask as many qeustions as you can and dont let people tell you that you shouldnt get one because that you think they are pretty kool because everyone has differnt reasons why they have there animal for love for freindship and you know what i think my snakes pretty kool too. But you started off good by coming here keep it up just gether the info and make sure for your mom that you make your tank escape proof put a big lock on it for her sake it might make her feel more comfortable i know my girlfreind took a long time getting used to mine. When i first started coming online i joined some snake groups on yahoo..they were all supportive in my quest. What ever you do, do not battle with your mom, that will get you no where....take it from someone who has experienced it first hand. Show her, get her to join the zone and ask her own questions. I lucked out...my mom loves my snakes. And i wasnt saying not to get one cuz they look cool, thats why i bought my first one...my male albino california king...but i bought him and now i own 4 snakes and an iquana....mind you i dont live with my parents still...but some of my snakes do! lol. any ways, dont fight...just prove that you can be responsible...AND snakes are a long time commitment...not like a hamster or a dog.
