 Do komodo dragons have venom?

i was reading an article on them saying that KD’s have a weak venom in their bite. do you think its true or not?

well most of what i read was that its not a venom is the bacteria... when they eat the dead animals the bacteria get reused n that is what causes the animal or person to die

scientist speculate that there over 70 kinds of bacteria in a komodo dragons mouth from eateing dead animals the dragon will lie and wait then they will chase it down bit it and then the animal will soon die and the dragon can smell the carcas from 10 miles away.

Dr. Fry had some interesting findings released not long ago.

They do produce venom. Previously it was thought to be just bacteria (I say just but it’s something like over 52 strains) however it has recently been discovered that the genus varanus and some iguanidae produce venom. Whith Komodo’s it seems to be a debate though. Some sources, i.e. the internet and Zoological societies say that they produce a weak venom. However other sources such a QI say that it is a powerful venom. The question is to the magnitude of the venom. The fact that they do produce venom is now proven.
