Question about mixing species.

I have an 6-month old 400 foot long Komodo Dragon who I have owned for twelve years. He lives in a 6" x3" x 1" Chinese woman’s shoebox with light bulbs for substrate and a book of matches for thermoregulation. I’ve been worried that he might be lonley and need a friend, so I was wondering: could I keep a giant squid in there with him?

Sure! My bff did that. Its so cute to see them snuggle up and cuddle together! Some people will tell you its not ok to mix species...but those two are inseparable now.

400 feet long???....im pretty sure they only grow to about an inch maybe 2....and a chinese womans shoe box is WAY TO BIG!!!!...a nice plastic kitchen container would be good they can roam 2 much and get hurt

but yes you could just make sure the KD doesnt get its ink all over the squid and the squid doesnt get venomous saliva all over the kd

mixing species is a wonderful idea!!!!! but branch away from the already done giant squid and komodo, go all out, elephant with a komodo. Then when they have their babies mix in a cat and ur good to go!!!

yes you can! i did. and they bred and ended up with eight legged, legless lizards, with venomous ink cartrages <
and for substrate i use a trampoline. but when the KD jumped on it, he hit his head on the brick ceiling to his cage and bit his tongue. but, the giant squid loves it. she can do some amazing tricks!
