 I got to pet a Komodo Dragon!!! For REAL!
Wow I just realized that there was a Komodo Dragon forum on here! My fiance took me to the Pitt Zoo this year for Valentines Day and talked to the Reptile keeper and got to let me pet the Komodo Dragon named "No Name" I was reading and saw how everyone jokes about having one and stuff....so heres the REAL deal post...hehe! It was the best day EVER!!!! He kissed me with his tounge!! ALSO my Fiance is the BEST GUY EVER!!! BEST VALENTINES DAY I COULD EVER HAVE!!

I can’t believe this they are suppose to be mean. My goodness. It is time I go poke him see if he will give me that monster bite. It is time that zoo gets on here and explains themselves because from what I hear if something like that doesn’t bite you there is something wrong with it.

A lot of lizards that don’t like being handled will still be fine with just getting petted/touched, as long as tney don’t think you’re going to grab them. And I suspect that if you’re an enormous Komodo Dragon, you really aren’t that worried about somebody picking you up and waving you around much. He probably recognizes when a group of burly keepers are coming in to haul him off somewhere, but one individual person just isn’t as much of a threat to him as it is to a smaller species.
