Holy crap. When I was in 5th grade we had to write a story about an animal as in the idea that we were the animal. I did a Komodo Dragon and got an A+. My spirit animal is also a Komodo Dragon... sweet stuff.

God I want one of them... They are adorable. I would love for them to be awesome pets... But imagine how much it would cost just to get the right area to keep one in. I imagine they need a bit of space.

The bacteria is a feature enjoyed by wild komodos..

In their home range, not captive komodos, its not present there. Ask Sharon Stones husband, he wore sandals into a komodo cage and got his toes bit (tales of the rich and stupid, lol).

UH ACTUALLY THEY ARE NOT VENOMOUS OR POISONOUS OR EVEN TOXIC AS IT MAY BE POPULARLY BELIEVED, BECAUSE THE KOMODO GETS ITS TOXICITY FROM THE CARRION THAT GETS STUCK IN ITS SERRATED TEETH AND THEN DEVELOPS INTO A EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BACTERIA, BUT STILL, IT IS NOT LIKELY THAT YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE IT FROM A BITE BECAUSE I DO NOT THINK IT WOULD STOP BITING, LOL

extremely old, but you are wrong. recent studies have shown they have primitive venom glands.
