nile crocodiles are common through out north africa and australia while komodo dragons are scarcely populated across a few small south east asian islands but majority of their Komodo. though they are technically not endangered because of their health populations but they are threatened because their species is so isolated to one area that if a disaster like the suinami that hit the middle east were to occur in the right area, the entire species could be eradicated from the wild. they are at too high of a risk to start pulling from the wild for the pet trade. plus komodos are more dangerous than crocs. crocs will only hunt in the water while komodos will actively run you down over a distance.

Komodo dragons are the first animal ever placed on the endangered species list.

Look it up, they were granted protection not long after the modern world discovered they did exist. They are CITES 1 by the way, look that up. They are all considered property of Indonesia, they are also proetcted by every law having to do with trade in animals import or export.

Nile crocodiles don’t live in Australia, they’re named after the nile river.

The Nile crocodile does live in Australia.

Go to Austalia Zoo, the late Steve Irwin’s place.

If you have no interest in having a Nile croc or a Komodo dragon, why bother to post?

The Australia zoo has one , but that doesn’t mean they live there. They have Alligators, alligators don’t live in Australia, they have burmese pythons, doesn’t mean they live there. Marine world in California has some alligators, doesn’t mean they live in California.
