 Setting Things Straight

Their are only 3000-5000 komodo dragons left in the wild. That is why they are a C.I.T.E.S. animal. Im not shour if ist C.I.T.E.S. 1 or 2? anyway this means if its 1, only a gouvernment can own one and zoo’z can only have one if they are for repopulation efforts. If it was 2, they would not be alound off the island. So they must be C.I.T.E.S. 1. So dont say your getting one because we know your knot!!!!

 All monitors are in the CITES list.

Most being CITES 2 and a few on CITES 1. CITES one means no international trade for skins or products. But there are examples that are allowed to enter ythe US, also the komodo has many many other international agreements and laws to protect is worldwide, not just CITES.
