Can a Eur. Legless go in a 20 long??
You do realize that they get about five feet long.. And that it is possible that you are going to have him/her for twenty plus years? Every site I have found and every herpetologist I have spoken to before I purchased mine, states that you need to start out with a large 50gal tank. Now I would argue that point if it was a young lizard, but mine was not he is almost three feet. Now, the other point I argued was that if I got him out and let him exercise on a daily basis, could I get away with a smaller tank. I got some yes and then I got some: Well, how would you liked to be cramped up all day answers. I mean, I feel that if I’m going to keep an animal that I have the responsibility to give it the best living situation possible, but that is me and my karma... I did not want to spend a fortune on a new tank so I looked around. I found my 50 gallon tank used at a fish store and cleaned it well. By the time he is full grown, I will have built a low enclosure with lots of burrowing space. Hope that helps and good luck
