Ok, i think there may be some around my neighborhood 
ok do any types of leggless lizards live in mississippi (southern. on the coast) because about a month ago my neighbor came and got me to get a snake out of her house and when i got there it was dead (killed by the cats) but when i took it outside it looked funny. i noticed it had eyelids, and it was missing a part of its tail. also its head sort of formed into its body, it wasnt a distinct head like on a snake. also the eyes were small and it had ear holes on its head so im positive it was a leggless lizard, i was j/w if thier common down here.
oh and i also found a dead one on the side of the road.
