Legless Lizards=Snakes Many people believe this to be so but there are some lizards out there, usually desert species that don’t require much use of their legs and have lost most of it. If you take a look at their skeleton and bone structures, you can tell that they once have access to them. Some of them still have visible, but nearly useless limbs. They move quite similar to snakes and will most eat insects. More research on legless lizards should be done if you want to learn more about these evolved lizards.

Hmm guys ganging up on some1 that might be right. Well the only thing you guys have to back you up is faith. We have skeletons that show the evolution from primal humans to now. I bet god made us in 6 days too.

i agree w/ lizzie...i belive God created everything seprate...i don’t think creatures turn into other creatures...but i do belive they can adapt to different living styles after many, many yrs...due to changes in enviroments...=^_^=

Legless Lizards=Snakes Great answer everything adapts. Thats why almost no animals skeletons today can match the skeletons 100,000s of yrs ago.

Legless Lizards=Snakes When god made Adam, Adam was very lonely. He said "hey god can i get someone just like my that i can play and have fun all the time with". ANd god responded "It’ll cost you a arm and leg". Adam Responds "well what can i get for a rib." Well gordy if he rested on 7th day means he stopped working therefore it took 6 days for him to build. WHich doesnt make sence why would god need to rest almost sounds human of him.

OK, god did create everything on this earth. But god may not have made them or us as we or they look today. I absolutely do not believe that we evolved from monkeys, and i am totally open to the idea that the neanderthal man may have been a totally different speicies that died off millions of years ago, But the fact remains that animals adapt to their enviroment. Some lizards began living in dense grass areas, this made them slither through the grass rather than climbing through it, which over a period of time (likely many years) their limbs became shorter and shorter till they eventually disappeared.

I also have an eastern glass lizard, which is a north american legless lizard that my cat caught around our ponds. It took 50 bucks at the vet to get him better so i decide to try to keep him. He has tamed down really well and has a very good appetite. He has shed twice since i’ve had him.

Legless Lizards=Snakes i cant take evolution seriously either, first off the dating system(carbon14) is inacurate, stuff that we know the age of has been tested for being millions of years old, also by the very definition of evolution, the amphibians of today should have scales, not that thin delcate skin, evo is based on the theory that positive mutations, which are almost nonexistant, theres the time issue, pass on to the next generation because the individual with the mutation survived easier and therefore was able to procreate. fish have scales and thick skin for protection, it damn hard to gut a fish with a blade thats not really sharp. you can cut an amphibians skin with a butterknife, the same amphibians "decending" from fish. why would they lose a benificial mutation, only to gain it back as reptiles? and the fossil record is screwed up, in europe theres a site were three or four "millon" years worth of fossils are buried in the same layer of rock, theres plenty of other things in the fossil records that dont match up but im not gonna bore you all with more of this. sorry for the long post all

Legless Lizards=Snakes You dont have to take it. But these animals with this thin skin your talking about probably never had the need to adapt. And fish being hard to gut hell halfe the animals that eat fish either have razor sharp teeth or swallow whole. Everything evolved and continues to evolve. Why you think human fussils are different back then, then now. They were bigger and taller, also had different shaped heads. And obviously some dating systems used would have so set backs but most are extremely accurate. Notice how fish have white bellies and darker tops. So when a animal looks up they blend with the sun and when it looks down the blend with the darkness. Why would a snake have the same? Maybe descendents of sea dwellers.

Legless Lizards=Snakes evolution is not based on positive changes that allow them to venture places that they have never been (as you say with the amphbians should have scales) but it better adapts animals to their enviroment, like the loss of lungs in most modern salamanders. instead of needing to breath in air the are able to absorb it through their skin from their moist surroundings.

Legless Lizards=Snakes evo is based on positive mutation, positive to its environment, i cant see it happening, i understand the osmotic respiration but at the cost of defence , it doesnt click to me, it would be like having our lungs on the outside so we wouldnt need to "breathe"(as in the motion) but that exposes somthing so vital to our survival, i love these kinda posts, gets ya thinkin

Legless Lizards=Snakes like everyone knows that wales and dolphins live in water but apparently thousends of years ago they lived on land because if you look at some certain species of wales and dolphins skeletons you can see folded up legs under there fins.so they evolved kinda to live in water.

Legless Lizards=Snakes i belive that God made everything perfect the thing is humans dont adapt otherwise we whould lose our legs and turn into blobs cause where always on the computer no seriously if humans extreamly adapted people that lived in alaska for thousands of years whould grow layers of fat and thick fur and people in nyc whould grow thick self cleaning lungs and animals dont extreamly adapt ethier
