I found and egg a minute after i found a snake/lizard 
i came to florida for ten days on vacation, everyday i love going outside and looking for lizards and frogs, well today it rained and when it stopped i went outside and was walking and i saw something slizer through the tall grass so i chased after it and i saw this small snake like thing, im not sure if it was a snake or a legless lizard,and then when i wasnt able to catch it i gave up and started walking again and i found a white egg on the ground so i picked it up to examine, im afraid that i killed it by picking it up, im also not sure if it even is an egg cause it was like really soft and rubber like.

Yep, yep, yep! That’s an egg. It’s ok 2 carfully pick it up but don’t turn it over. From the sound of the color, it should be fertile. I would put it on some potting soil without fertilizer in it and keep it in like a large bug container that you get at PetSmart for rats.
