Leos and Colder Weather I live in Southern California and got my 3 Geckos(juvinile/subadult) in the summer. I use a 20gal Long with a UTH on one side and a red bulb at night for overall viewing/warmth in a hood, and a regular bulb during the day when needed. It was hot over the summer here so I was right in the low to mid 80s overall, with the warm side being low to mid 90s during the day, and low to mid 70s at night(80s warm side)l I had more of an issue keeping it not too warm. Now its gotton colder and I am not sure what I need to do(high 60s overall at night, mid 70s for warm side). My Geckos have not been eating much lately and seem to be more tired even at night and I am assuming its from the colder weather. During winter months is it okay for them to change their eating/sleeping patterns(like most reptiles )or do I need make some drastic changes to get my overall heat up to mid 80s during the day, mid 70s at night during the winter too. Any recommendations considering I have a 2 bulb hood light(up to 75w each side) and a UTH heater on one side(covers almost half the tank). How often should they be eating at this time?
any help would be appreciated

Leos and Colder Weather Get another lamp...they’re probably not eating ’cause they’re not feeling the greatest. Mine’s still eating about 10 a day. Are you getting those reading from a digital? ’cause that’s pretty low for a leo

Leos and Colder Weather i live in so cal and i had the same problem. i have a UTH and the only bulb i got that worked is "red heat" 100W the bulb is red and emits low amount of red light that supposely reptiles cant see. keep on 24/7, i also have a moon light for night...... i usually leave that on 24/7 too because it emits low heat for the cool side so that doesnt drop below 70-75. my temps range from 80-90 warm side day and night. it got cold here and my leo got a respiratory infection from it, before i was able to raise temps. get your temps up!!!! ps my leo wont eat either... i posted something already about that
