Breeders - Share your story! I’ve always loved reading about people’s experiences with reptiles, like I’m sure most of you on this forum do. Here’s a chance for everybody who has or is currently breeding reptiles to share their story. Try to answer how you got started, problems you ran into and how you dealt with them, what you learned from the experience and if you plan on breeding in the future!

Breeders - Share your story! I don’t mean to sound rude or anything, but this post should really go into the Geckos: Leopard Breeding Forum. ^^’
That Forum you will get the most responses from, opposed to here. ^.~

Breeders - Share your story! I’m currently incubating Leopard gecko eggs, and I’ve bred anoles so far. I got interested in breeding a few months after I acquired my female. I waited for her to grow and be proper breeding size. I really haven’t ran into any problems yet, except my Hovabator sometimes got higher than I wanted to, and I put some ice in a bowl in it then. I think I’ve realized this: Your female can never be too fat to breed, and patience is a virtue. When we move into a bigger house, I do plan on getting some more Leos to hopefully breed.

Breeders - Share your story! I have been interested with reptiles all of my life. I first started with FBT’s and now I’m working with leos, turtles, and treefrogs. I bred my leos this year, and like stichex said patience is a virtue, and dont breed a female unless she is 55g+. Problems so far... well the only one I can think of is not burryin the eggs enoughi n the incubation medium. I’v learned that you have to be very devoted/ commited to your pets especially if you breed them. I deffinatly plan on breeding in the future (maybe give my female a year off though)
