Help? I am a leopard gecko rescuer, and am about to get a real skinny, dehydrated, compacted gecko. I know what to do about the weight and dehydration. I am wondering if there are any tips on how to help a compacted gecko. I know to soak the belly in warm-ish water and to rub the belly in order to help make is passable, but does anyone have any other tips? Anything will help

Help? first thing you need to do is get him to a vet, i know your intentions are good but you need to also get him checked out by a professional....
i heard for an impacted leo you can put a dab of olive oil on his nose, then he can lick it off.
repti-aid can work magic with a sick, skinny, gecko too

Help? Yes, treating impaction can be hard. You realy should see a vet. Keep up with the warm soaks for about 15 minutes a day. Drop some olive oil on the nose, but not in the nostrils and the gecko should lick it off. Try two drops a day. If the lizzard is eating on it’s own, then you could dip a mealworm in olive oil to have the same effect.

Help? thank you, alot. I am no longer getting the gecko, as teh person had enough sence to the vet, and I recomended repti-aid to them if it ends up to not be compacted, as they are not sure, any other ideas for them though, I’m trying to help them as much as possible
