 Disaster Plan for Pets

I’m in Missouri, near St. Louis, and we have tornados. We need to plan ahead for disaster, for our pets too. I have bottled water in the basement. Mealworms in the basement. I even got some "warm hands" that hunters use in case of power failure. Somewhere online, I saw heat packs for sale that last 40 and 60 hours. Does anyone else know who would have those? It wouldn’t hurt to have one or two.

Last tornado, we had no power for a week. Got a new roof out of it, though!! But dog is still major bummed, he was on back porch when tornado ripped it off and dropped it in the front yard. Needless to say, he is a nervous nellie now when it rains and thunders.

So my plan would be to throw a handful of bugs in and use a 40-hour heat pack, fill up the water bowl, and hope for the best in case of emergency. AFTER THAT, I gotta take care of my hubby and kids.
