Desert setup & 4 Leopard Geckos and link to photos
I have a large (46 " long, 20" deep, 18" high - over 76 gallon equivalent) naturalistic desert enclosure with built in heating and lighting and four leopard gecko females that were rescues and are now living in peaceful harmony in this large unit. There are images of the enclosure here, both completed and during the construction process. Link The girls have been very healthy and happy in there for quite some time. The one has lost most if not all of it’s sight though, due to poor conditions prior to rescue, and has to be fed with tweezers, but she has a very hearty appetite! All have been to a vet and have been checked for parasites and are in excellent health. Due to space limitations, I am hoping to find a new home for the girls and their setup. I’m located in the southern New Jersey area, not far from Philadelphia. If anyone is interested, please email me. I would like to get something for the setup and geckos to offset the time involved in construction and it would offset health care costs for future rescues, but I’ll be very flexible in regards to that since I really need the space. I’ll see if a pediatrician’s or dentist’s office might want to display it instead of a fish tank. If you know of any that might like that sort of thing, let me know. |
