Red Ackie for sale!

A local pet store recently closed down and I took home a Red Ackie. I’m not into monitors at all, mainly beardies and water dragons, so I’m selling this Ackie. I live in Newfoundland, Canada. I’ve never shipped before so I’d need some direction in that department, but I want to see it go to a good home. Make an offer, and if you think $50 is an offer, don’t bother, I know how much these things are worth. =)

How much are they worth? I would offer something but i dont know what to offer, since you basicly say in your ad, dont offer anything less then the cost of a this type of monitor. You should just a put a price on him, because you clearly looking for a price, and just waiting for someone to offere more then its worth.

^^ Yeah. Also, if it’s from a pet store, the people are going to have to pay to get it a fecal exam done, because of pet store animals usually have parasites. Also, dirt is the best substrate for ackies so they can borrow.

A lot of people on here are very quick to jump down peoples’ throats.
I’m not waiting for somebody to offer more than this is worth, nice assumption. I wouldn’t do that to somebody. The picture was taken as soon as it was dropped off at my house, and it came in it’s enclosure, so I cannot be held responsible for it’s substrate in the picture.
I’ve looked at a lot of them for sale, and they generally go for around $300.
I bought the Ackie because the alternative would have been a much worse lifestyle for the animal. I am taking care of it properly, but I can’t keep it up., since I have too many other commitments.

you know that just says dont make a offer under the market value. Not really jumping down your post, just saying your post sounds like you want more for the lizard then hes worth, and i say just put a price on him, how much did you get him for? or did you adopt him? I personally would of offered $100 because i have no idea what there running on the market, and clearly if i offered that i would not even get a response, since you would not bother with anyone with a offer that low.

Red/Yellow Ackies are worth around $350, but sometimes sold for more/less.
Some people do not know that they are worth this much, so they aren’t prepared to pay that much for a monitor. Anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe size could have derived from my initial post that $50 is NOT a reasonable offer for this particular monitor, and saying that has saved me a lot of trouble, as I have seen some lousy offers on some of these forums. Anyone who didn’t pick up on what I was trying to say, has clearly shown they have an inability to read between the lines. If someone is serious about buying it, and taking care of it properly, they will be prepared to pay what it’s worth. If you think my post "sounds like I want more than the lizard is worth", just because I want more than $50, then you need to go do your homework. I’ve done mine.

Anyway! This Ackie still needs a new home. =(

I can hardly care what price is on your monitor since personally i dont think they make great pets, or lizards to keep, my opinion. But im just trying to help you out and im trying to tell you that a lot of people on this site will read this classified and think either A. you want more then its worth, or B, they will just not bother with it since they dont know what price your looking for.

You would get more responses if you just put a price on him, or at least put lets say $200 OBO, that way someone reading will see the price and know the price range that they are looking at.

Sorry if not every one has a BIg IQ, but again not a lot of americans like to "read between the lines" and dont like to play games, there for the monitor is still for sell.
