Milk snake cage Just wondering is my milk snake cage ok for a milk snake. Its a 20 gal. The water dish will be half full that’s why you may think its big. I am open to suggestions.

 Thanks in advance.

Milk snake cage you got a regulator to control the temp, it don’t have to be fancy.you just got to make sure the top is on tight and milks do like to burrow, thats why I use aspen

and a body guard on duty helps

Milk snake cage Here he/she is. I got it yesterday at petland. As for substrate we have repti-bark. We tried feeding today and he ate but then he threw it up because my little brother scared him.

Milk snake cage do your feeding at night, til it gets settled in good, just drop it in and turn out the lights and check it in the morning.Once its settled in you can watch it feed, since you get it on the 24th don’t try too feed it for 7 days let it get used to its new home,it nervous.

Milk snake cage Does that lid have locks for it? I know it’s not a big deal right now since the snake is so small, but when it gets bigger it could easily push that lid up and escape or mess up its nose. That’s why I have tanks with sliding lids for all my snakes. Wait 10 days to feed it again and do not handle it until then. Neither one of my milk snakes will feed in a separate container. They will only feed in their tank and my Pueblan will not eat until you leave the room. Good luck.
