I am going to ask this because I never have gotten a straight up answer to this.
Is it ok to feed your snakes mice or pinkies,(or rats) with freezerburn on them?
And what I mean by freezerburn, white specs or splotches on the skin that werent there before you put them in the freezer, or white splotches or specs on the skin caused by the freezer.
Ive fed my snakes some food before that has had these things on them but never a whole bunch on them or never the amount where the white covered the mice or pinkie or rat, and they are fine but I know that doesnt mean that that is ok because it could cause damage over time.
Response greatly appreciated,THX

Be honest with you I’ve done the same thing and never had a problem with my snakes but that is a good question.

I have never found that on my rodents and I have been freezing for a year now,but if I know I was going to keep them, to long in the freezer, I would freeze them in water,it would take up a little room but no burns

I once bought a pack of 100 ratpinkies and they stayed too long in the styro-box before I got home and all the ratpinkies developed such white spots. I to asked around for advice on the matter but got very much contradicting answers. So, I decided to try feeding the snakes these frost-burned prey items. Rat pinkies are 75 cents a piece and I had 100 of them. Well it seemed to work as good as ever, so I used up the whole pack without any problems.

Thaks for response, now I know that Im not being a bad owner or being ignorant by doing this.
Because just like peter said, I fed them to my snakes and they had no problems taking the food or digesting it it seemed, and then they acted perfectly normal afterward. Responses greatly appreciated,THX.
