 Yay! He ate!

My new milk snake finally ate. The pet store claimed he was eating fuzzies, but he didn’t eat them. Hasn’t eaten in six weeks. He shed and still didn’t eat. I went to a different pet store and bought a frozen pinkie. He ate it before i closed up the tank. Should I give him another? And if not, when should he get the next one?

Your snake probably was just adjusting to his new home. I’ve had some snakes take food immediately after I got them, and I’ve had some take as long as 3 months to eat. Since he’s eaten for you, I’d continue to give him pinkies (two at a time) and gradually work him up to fuzzies. Try feeding every 5 days. Mine only eat once a week now that they’re older, but when they were younger I fed every 5 days.
