Suddenly aggressive Hi everyone, I recently got a tangerine Honduran- a few days ago, to be exact. She was squirmy but allowed me to pick her up. Today though, she appears to be very feisty and cautious. In fact, when I come close, she starts striking. I’m not sure whether she’s just in a bad mood. Is there a reason why on some days they’re sometime more aggressive than on others? It’s not quite time for her feeding either... A couple more days to go... Any ideas?

Suddenly aggressive The same thing happened with my King Snake when I bought him. He was such a snice, sweet little snake in the begining. After a few days he turned into the Cujo of the snake world. And still, til this day he is quite the biter. This was 2 years ago. Some calm down, others dont. Your snake was probably just a bit scared, and didnt show aggression, but once he fot comfy at home, he got a bit mean. Just handle him a bit every week. I would suggest leaving him alone for a week or two first. Maybe he just didnt settle in yet.
