The sizes stated on Milksnakes.com only tells you how big they get in the wild. However many snakes tend to grow way pass that size in captivity. For example: the size stated for the Sinaloan milksnake is 38 to 48 inches, but I have a male Sinaloan, 8 yo, at 62 inches, weighing 3 lbs.

Keeping their colors varies with what subspecies of milksnake you are talking about. Sinaloans are well known for their good color even at old age. Hondurans on the other hand, as well as several other South and Central American subspecies such as Pueblans, gets dull in color with age. |
